Thankful at home

I love having the opportunity to send hand-written notes to everyone who was so generous with us for our wedding. It is time consuming, but so worth it. Every time that fine-tip sharpie touches the paper, I get a wave of anxiety that I am going to make a mistake or not write the right thing... there is no script, so the words just come out through the pen; words like honored, meaningful, memorable, grateful. I want all who receive one to feel the same genuine love and appreciation that they surrounded Johnny and I with on our wedding day. We are still in awe of that incredible day; for all its imperfections, there was some magic that encompassed it and flowed through it. We owe that experience to our friends and family who were there and made it so. And so I hope I can capture that gratitude in every word I write.
